A few of us decided to plan a girls weekend trip in March. We wanted to fit in one more trip of this kind before the big changes many of us are about to experience this year! Our planning started with a trip to AZ, then FL, VA and WV; we even contemplated staying in town and going to a local spa resort for the weekend... Needless to say, trying to coordinate 6-7 schedules, our desire for a place that might have warm weather, travel itineraries, not to mention the expense of it all was quite difficult. One day, out of the blue, one of the girls suggested Kiawah Island, SC (about 30 minutes away from Charleston), and somehow that seemed like the perfect spot. Our plans came together very quickly thereafter, and 2 weeks later, 7 of us hopped into a borrowed minivan for the 4 hour journey.
We had a lot of fun just hanging out, talking a mile a minute, eating a lot, and going to the spa. It went by too fast, and the weather did not entirely cooperate (the bright sun was deceitful as it was quite windy and cold), but the company made up for all of it. I'm so glad we made it happen because who knows if and when we'll get to do this again.
