CLT Visit - I

We're in Charlotte for a few days, and it is so good to be here! Home is going to be a fluid concept for us, and this is the place we're calling home base. It was a never ending trip to get here (11 hours for a 6.5 hour trip, only about 1.5 hours added due to baby's needs, the rest was traffic). Highlights so far include:

• watching my parents and bro go absolutely gaga over S
• introducing S to his great-grandfather (my maternal grandfather, and the only living grandparent between M and me), and taking pictures of the 4 generations together!
• seeing aunts, uncles and cousins from Columbia, Greenville, and CLT
• going to see my former coworkers at Wachovia
  
• visiting with our friends, many of whom came by during what I call an "open house" for S

We have a few days left here, with some more plans to which we look forward. Tell you about all of that in part II...
